The Univision Prepaid Card combines the features of MasterCard debit to its own offerings. The card works pretty much like a prepaid card should. Cardholders are not issued a line of credit and there's no need to link a bank account to the main card account for any purpose. The Univision Card comes in for individuals looking to enjoy free direct deposit benefits or parents who don't feel comfortable giving their teenager a credit card and others just in search of a place to keep extra cash in liquid savings.
The Univision card features a number of top up options including direct deposit, Western Union, MoneyGram, Green Dot MoneyPak and card-to-card transfers. Each card account can order two additional cards linked to the main account to be given to family and friends. For self-explanatory reasons, Univision lets the cardholder choose whether to make all or some of the funds (as a percentage) on the main account available to the additional cards.
