Discover Student Card - Tropical Beach is a credit card designed for students who have limited or bad credit. It's a highly competitive card charging low interest when compared to other cards in this category. An introductory APR period takes care of purchase APR throughout a specified period. The intro APR period may not apply to all card members as determined by the card issuer.
On the card rewards program, card members earn a fixed 1% cash back bonus on all eligible purchase transactions. Everyday purchases on categories that change like gas, travel, merchandise, and departmental stores earn 5%. Online purchases through ShopDiscover earn discounts up to 20%.
Card members do not pay an annual fee.
Additional benefits include online account management, secure account numbers, zero fraud liability protection, and email reminders to avoid late monthly payments.
