Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard is a prepaid Visa card issued by the Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company. It isn't a credit card offering high credit lines. Rather, it's a debit card allowing consumers with bad credit purchase goods and services as normal or perhaps those consumers having better credit but desiring something into which they could put in a little cash for emergency or other expenses.
There's no annual fee to worry about and the minimum opening balance is one of the lowest out there. Opening requirements are a valid social security number for residents in the U.S. and Vermont. Non-U.S. residents are not allowed to apply for this card. All applicants are subject to a verification of identity.
Card members are allowed to make purchase online, through the internet or from a Visa debit card accepting retail store while protecting such members from liability on fraudulent or unauthorized card use.
